AXA Headquarters, Dublin

The project involved the fit-out and refurbishment of 4 no. Stories of AXA HQ, Wolfe Tone Street, Dublin. MCROM Architects engaged iAcoustics to provide a full acoustic design strategy. We were also retained to undertake acoustic tests upon completion. 

The Client required to optimise space by re-organising departmental layouts and adjacencies to promote a more inclusive environment. This client brief created several acoustical challenges concerning speech privacy between workspaces.

The project architects’ (MCROM) concept for the project came from the word ‘AXA’ and its original red strike-through logo. Taking the ‘X’ and exploring different variations of this shape, it was used in different ways for acoustic ceiling and wall panels.
