Kildress House, Dublin
iAcoustics provided a full suite of acoustic consultancy to this project.
Developed by McAleer & Rushe and designed by architects Henry J Lyons, Kildress House is a stunning development situated in a key position in Dublin’s central business district. 22,216 sq. ft. of Grade A office accommodation.
Recommendations were provided to control reverberation and improve speech privacy within the open-plan spaces. Desktop predictions of M&E noise levels were carried out according to the CIBSE calculation procedures for noise transmission. This ensured that ventilation noise was not overpowering or distracting but also not too low to create a pin-drop environment that can detract from speech privacy levels. Room acoustic modelling was undertaken to determine the effectiveness of various surface finishes to reduce reverberation
