iAcoustics provided a full-suite of acoustic consultancy to this project.
Developed by McAleer & Rushe and designed by architects Henry J Lyons, Kildress House is a stunning development, situated in a key position in Dublin’s central business district 22,216 sq. ft. of Grade A office accommodation.
Recommendations were provided to control reverberation and improve speech privacy within the open-plan spaces. Desktop prediction of M&E noise levels was carried out in accordance with the CIBSE calculation procedures for noise transmission. This ensured that ventilation noise was not overpowering or distracting, but also not too low so as to create a ‘pin-drop’ environment which can detract from speech privacy levels.
