The Crossings at Adamstown is a major €105 million residential development comprising 436 apartments across Blocks A, C and D, with buildings extending up to nine storeys. The development was delivered by Evara, formerly Quintain Ireland, with Elliott Group acting as main contractor.
iAcoustics provided full acoustic consultancy services for the residential development, with a particular focus on compliance with Technical Guidance Document Part E – Sound. Services included review and development of the acoustic design strategy, specification of separating walls and floors, assessment of junctions and flanking transmission risks, detailing of service penetrations and internal constructions, and technical support during construction.
The commission also included construction-stage inspections and pre-completion acoustic testing to demonstrate compliance with the airborne and impact sound insulation requirements of Part E, including the requirements of E1 and E2. iAcoustics worked closely with the design team and contractor throughout construction to identify acoustic risks, review site workmanship and support the successful delivery of the required acoustic performance.
