iAcoustics provided full acoustic consultancy for Troy Studios in Limerick – the largest international standard film and TV studio in Ireland. Spanning 26 acres, the studio has 4 sound stages totalling 100,000 sq. ft. & an overall footprint of 350,000 sq. ft. under one roof with a 5-acre backlot.
Assessments were completed to predict the level of break-in noise from the outside environment and an acoustic scheme was developed to ensure that the building envelope achieved appropriate levels of sound insulation.
Our partner company Absolute Acoustics supplied and applied the internal acoustic treatment to control reverberation within the film stages.
